Sugar: Growth of volume and revenue in january

The average daily revenue obtained from Brazilian exports of sugar and other molasses reached US$ 41.458 million in January, with 22 working days, according to data from the Foreign Trade Secretariat (Secex). The average daily volume of exports reached 96,341 thousand tons in the month of January.
2,119,508 tons of sugar were exported in January, with revenues of US$ 912.092 million and an average price of US$ 430.30 per ton. In comparison with the daily average of January 2022, of US$ 24.752 million, there was a 67.5% increase in the value obtained daily by sugar exports in January 2022.

In volume, there was an increase of 49.9%, compared to the 64,263 thousand tons daily shipped in January 2022. The average price, on the other hand, rose 11.7%, compared to US$ 385.20 per ton verified in January 2022. In volume, sugar exports in January grew 57% compared to the 1.349 million tons shipped in the same month of 2022. Revenue increased 75% compared to the US$ 519 million obtained in January 2022.
