Sugar May exports drop to 1.58 million tonnes

The average daily revenue obtained from Brazilian exports of sugar and molasses totaled US$ 27.175 million in May (22 working days). The average daily volume of exports reached 71,838 thousand tonnes.
In the period, 1,580,438 tonnes were exported, creating revenue of US$ 600 million at an average price of US$ 379.70 per tonne.
Compared with the daily average for May 2021, valued at US$ 38.606 million, there was a 29.3% drop in the worth obtained by sugar exports per day in May 2022.

In May 2021, Brazil exported 2.482 million tonnes of sugar, with a revenue of US$ 810.7 million.
Volume decreased by 39.2% compared to the 118,223 thousand tons shipped daily in May 2021. On the other hand, the average price increased 16.3% from US$ 326.60 per tonne in May 2021.
