Sugar shipments from Brazil amount to 1.95m tonnes in August

The average daily revenue obtained from Brazilian sugar and molasses exports totaled US$ 51.856 million in August (fifteen working days). The average daily volume of exports reached 130.063 thousand tonnes.
During the period, 1,950,941 tonnes of sugar were exported, generating a total income of US$ 777.841 million and an average price of US$ 398.70 per tonne.

In comparison to the daily average for August 2021 of US$ 39.624 million, the value obtained daily by sugar exports in August 2022 is up 30.9%. Volume increased by 12% compared to 115,787 thousand tons carried daily in August 2021. The average price increased 16.5% to US$ 342.20 per tonne from August 2021.
