Maersk towage and tugboat operator, Svitzer, has started operating two tugboats in Vitória port, opening the second phase of its expansion plans in Brazil. Between 2015 and 2018, Svitzer began operations in the South/South East of Brazil in Paranaguá, Santos, Rio Grande, São Francisco do Sul and Itapoá. The company’s director has indicated Svitzer is investigating potential opportunities in ports in the northeast of Brazil.
