The United States is matching Brazil in the volume of beef exported globally, but in terms of billing, they have already beaten Brazil by exporting to better-paying destinations.
The internal market forecast, corroborated by the USDA based on sales from January to May, pointed to 1.5 billion tons exported for the whole year, but data from the first half of 2021 may raise expectations.
The USA exported 700,800 tons, 18% more than the same months of 2020, whereas Brazil sold 735,800 tons, 5% less than the same period in 2020.=.
In terms of accumulated values, it can be seen that the small lead by Brazil in terms of volume was not reflected in higher revenue compared to competitors.
The United States earned greater than US$ 1 billion more than Brazilian exporters, according to government statistics.
The USA shipped fresh and prepared meats worth US$ 4.64 billion, while Brazil earned US$ 3.51 billion.
This gain above is in line with the US foreign trade policy as a whole and is especially characteristic of its beef-producing and -receiving markets.
