Teconnave Container Terminal in Navegantes, a company within the Til Group, which is also a shareholder of Portonave, has had its qualification documents for the temporary lease of the Port of Itajaí approved by the bid committee of the National Waterway Transportation Agency (Antaq). The decision was announced this Wednesday, with a period for appeals from November 3 to 7. Subsequently, the program envisages the validation of the result and the contract signing.
The company made the third-largest proposal for the minimum container throughput, offering 35,000 TEUs per month. The top two bidders, MMS Empreendimentos and Mada Araújo, were disqualified for failing to prove their capacity to meet the proposed throughput. With this decision, Teconnave was the next in line to be called.
The qualification documents submitted for the auction were analyzed by Antaq, which found no irregularities and concluded that the company demonstrated the ability to fulfill the proposal.
