
TVV sets new container-handling record

The Vila Velha Terminal – Login (TVV) reached the level of 525 containers handled in six hours during the export and import operation of the vessel MV Lutetia on July 23. The terminal, increasingly multipurpose, handled an average of 87 containers per hour.
About 80 people, including terminal workers and stevedores, participated in the operation that began in Manaus, Amazonas. Three portainers, three reach stackers, and 12 trucks were used.
The prior handling record was set on September 18 in 2020, when the average was 45 containers/hour. At the time, 86 units were handled per hour during the operation of the vessel MV MSC Nikolas.
