Ukraine: gain exports drop by almost 60% in August
Sep, 01, 2022 Posted by Gabriel MalheirosWeek 202235
Ukraine’s grain exports in August fell by 59.5% year-on-year to 2.26 million tonnes, data from the Ministry of Agriculture showed.
The data showed that the export volume includes 763,000 tonnes of wheat, 1.33 million tonnes of corn, and 161,000 tonnes of barley. Grain exports from Ukraine have fallen sharply because of the Russian invasion that blocked Ukrainian Black Sea ports, which are paramount for agricultural exports.
