Ukraine is expected to export 4 million tonnes of agricultural products in August. As a result, the income earned should range between US$ 250 and US$ 300 million. According to the country’s deputy minister of agriculture, Taras Vysotsky, the country exported 2 million tonnes in the first half of the month.
In July, the country shipped 3 million tonnes. In the 22 days since the launch of the grain corridor brokered by the UN and Turkey, 33 vessels left Ukrainian ports carrying around 720,000 tonnes. Another 18 ships are being boarded and waiting to set sail.
