VLI’s Board of Directors will feature an independent position
May, 06, 2022 Posted by Gabriel MalheirosWeek 202219
The Board of Directors of VLI, a logistics solutions company that operates terminals, railways, and ports, now has an independent director who was elected for an annual term until 2023.
This is the administrator Mônica Stefanini Herrero. According to VLI’s Legal and Corporate Governance Director, Joyce Andrews, this advance places VLI as a reference among private companies since it has no legal or regulatory obligations to have independent members on its Board of Directors.
The company is also a signatory to the “Equity is a Priority” commitment, an initiative of the United Nations, which sets a minimum target of 30% of women in senior leadership positions – from managers or equivalent positions – by 2025.
VLI already has a series of actions to achieve its goals in this arena. For 2022, the company already expects the number of women in charge of management, general management, and directorship positions to grow four percentage points compared to that registered in 2021.
