Volkswagen Trucks and Buses recently delivered new units for specialized operations in other countries in Latin America. The aim is to provide tailored solutions to customers and further advance its internationalization plan through these exports.
In the first deal, the automaker delivered 12 VW Constellation 26.280 6×4 trucks to Costa Rica. These vehicles, designed for waste collection, were supplied to the customer Rabsa through the importer Eurobus, strengthening the local fleet and the partnership between the two countries.
In the second export, the automaker, in collaboration with the German chamber and importer Hansa, sold two VW Constellation 17.320 4×2 trucks to Bolivia. Each truck was equipped with a refrigerated van for transporting materials, medicines, and vaccines. This model caters to both small producers and large companies in the country and plays a crucial role in the automaker’s internationalization plan, with approximately 3,000 imported VW trucks and buses in Bolivia.
“We remain committed to our internationalization plan, and the results continue to be satisfactory. Sending these new models to Costa Rica and Bolivia only reinforces VWCO’s global presence, replicating the successful model we have in Brazil and delivering customized vehicles to various customers and industries,” celebrates Alberto Borges, Supervisor of International Sales at Volkswagen Trucks and Buses.
First e-Delivery in Argentina
In September, Volkswagen Trucks and Buses also delivered Argentina’s first 100% electric truck to Express Logística, the logistics operator for Cervecería y Maltería Quilmes, in an event held at the company’s Distribution Center in the Central Market. This marks another significant step in the international market’s electrification process.
