The Wilson Sons Group joined the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), a non-profit program that helps companies and cities to disclose their environmental performance in order to reduce emissions and mitigate climate change.
The CDP proposes the preparation and publication of a collective questionnaire formulated by institutional investors and aimed at companies listed on the world’s main stock exchanges, unifying information from institutions on environmental impact policies and efficient management of carbon-related risks.
“We joined the largest companies in the world and reaffirmed our transparency process. We are among 21% of companies that have reached level C in the maritime transport segment, the global average of companies in this sector”, says the manager of Health, Environment, Safety, and Sustainability at Wilson Sons, João David Santos.
The company’s initiative reiterates its commitments to sustainability and socio-environmental policies adopted over the past few years, such as adherence to the Global Compact (UN) and the Brazilian GHG Protocol Program, projects that aim to promote and transform society’s actions in relation to impacts on the environment and corporate social responsibility.
