
Without China, the US becomes top destination for Brazilian beef

With Brazilian beef exports to China still suspended, other countries importing Brazilian beef are gaining prominence, such as the United States. According to SECEX data compiled by CEPEA in November, Brazil shipped 17,290 tons of beef to the United States, a record that even made the country the top destination in November.

The volume shipped to the United States in November corresponded to 17.27% of total Brazilian sales. As a comparison, only 5,600 tons were exported by Brazil to the United States in 2020; the increase was 208% in one year.
