YTD Cargo handling at Cabedelo increased 27% YoY in July

The Port of Cabedelo registered another increase in cargo handling with the tons handled in the month of July. According to the operations management of Companhia Docas da Paraíba (DOCAS-PB), the month of July yielded 90,957 tons of cargo handled, making the accumulated result for the year jump to 768,844 tons.
With this additional tonnage, the Port of Cabedelo has now registered an increase of 27.58% compared to the first seven months of 2020.
The most operated cargo in the month of June was petroleum coke, with 299,033 tons handled in two operations – one import and one export. In all, eight ships docked at the port of Cabedelo: two from the Brazilian Navy for an official visit and six for operations at the pier. Products such as gasoline, diesel, and wheat were also handled.
The semester had already been positive. In the first six months of 2021, 677,887 tons were handled at the Port of Cabedelo, an increase of 33.09% compared to the first half of 2020.
The operations management of DOCAS-PB already forecasts a movement for this month of August that should maintain the increase in the comparison of cargo movement between 2021 and 2020. Six ships are already planned to dock at the pier, operating malt, wheat, petroleum coke, and fuels, with a forecast of over 100,000 tons to be handled.
