ZIM will launch its new ‘Patagonia Express Service’ (PES) service in mid-April, connecting the United States to the port of Ushuaia in Argentina and calling in Brazil on its return to the north.
On this route, the shipping company will use the 1,118 TEU ship “PACIFIC TRADER,” which will depart from the port of Houston on Saturday, April 15th. The round trip should take about 51 days. At the moment, ZIM has announced only one departure, but the service is expected to be regular.
Currently, the port of Ushuaia only regularly receives the 1,054 TEU ship “ARGENTINO II” as part of the Buenos Aires-Ushuaia regional circuit service operated by Patagonia Shipping Lines (PSL). However, with the addition of ZIM’s ‘PES,’ maritime connectivity and trade in the region are expected to increase.
