See below the ranking of the top trade goods/commodities exported via container by Brazil and Plate countries in the first two months of 2023 compared to the same period in 2022. The data was collected by Datamar’s Business Intelligence team:

Brazil

Meat products lead the ranking of Brazilian commodities exported via containers in January/February 2023, with an 8.6% increase over the same period in 2022. Wood shipments are in second place, having decreased by 27.9% in the same period. See the remainder of the list below:

Among containerized imported cargo in the first two months of 2023, plastic occupies the podium of the rank, growing 19.7% from the same period in 2022. Reactors and boilers, the second-ranking category go goods, fell 4.4% over the same period. See the complete list below:

Argentina

In the first two months of 2023, vegetable products were the cargo most exported via container in Argentina, with a 3.3% increase in volume compared to the same period in 2022. Meat products, which came in second place, grew 23.7% in the same period. See more below:

Argentina’s top containerized imports in 2023 were reactors and boilers, a 10.7% decrease from the same period in 2022. Motor vehicles and parts, which ranked second, saw an 8.2% lower import volume in the first half of 2023 compared to the same period in 2022. See the full list below:

Other Plate countries (Paraguay and Uruguay)

As for Uruguay and Paraguay, meats were the most exported goods in the first two months of 2023, with a drop of 22.2% compared to the same period in 2022. Wood, second in the ranking, fell 29.9% in the same comparative period. See more below:

The Motor Vehicle and Parts category leads the way in containerized cargo imports, with a volume 0.9% higher than in the same period in 2022. In the same period, the volume of reactors and boilers imported was 15.6% lower. See the full list below:
