April container handling up13% at the Itajaí and Navegantes Port Complex

The Port Complex of Itajaí and Navegantes registered a 13% growth in container handling in April compared to the month of April 2020. The statistics report is disseminated monthly through the Superintendence of the Port of Itajaí.
In April this year, 118,908 TEU and 1,384,294 tons were registered. The numbers surpassed the movement registered in the same period last year: 115,321 TEU and 1,230,174 tons.
The records at the complex confirm 84 moorings, slightly fewer than the previous year when 87 vessels were moored.

Cargo handling at the APMT Itajaí during the month of April resulted in 508,323 tons, adding 34 moorings and 43,677 TEU. The numbers represent a significant increase compared to the year 2020 when 455,176 tons were handled from 38 vessels, totaling 41,804 TEU.
