By the end of the year, ANTAQ will publish a bidding notice for the STS11 area at the Port of Santos. The auction will take place in the first quarter of 2022. STS11 will be used to install a dedicated terminal for handling and storing solid bulk vegetables. This Tuesday (June 1st), the Agency held a virtual hearing to obtain contributions aimed at improving the technical and legal documents relating to the lease. Public Hearing No. 10/2021 runs until June 9th.
The STS11 area is 87,934m² and is a brownfield (area previously occupied by permanent structures). The terminal will have road and rail connections to the Baixada Santista metropolitan region and connection by conveyor belts to the pier next to the berths, corresponding to the segments “Storage 12A”, “Storage 13/14”, and “Storage 15”.
The terminal will be leased for 25 years. According to the technical documents, the global gross revenue is estimated at BRL 11.5 billion, with future tenants investing BRL 693 million. The estimated total movement for the terminal is around 303 million tons.
