Trade balance surplus in the 1st week of June reaches US$ 2.425 billion

The Brazilian trade balance registered a trade surplus of US$ 2.425 billion in the first week of June. According to data released on Monday by the Foreign Trade Secretariat (SECEX) of the Ministry of Economy, the value was reached with exports of US$ 4.847 billion and imports of US$ 2.422 billion.

Exports registered an increase of 94.1% in the daily average in the first week of June compared to the same period last year, due to a US$ 200.8 million growth (86.1%) in agriculture; a US$ 200.25 million growth (126.6%) in the extractive industry, and a US$ 377.67 million growth (86.3%) in manufacturing products.

Imports, on the other hand, rose 54.5% in the period, with growth of US$ 4.82 million (35.7%) in agriculture; a decrease of US$ 5.39 million (-14.9%) in the extractive industry, and an increase of US$ 288.63 million (62.0%) in manufacturing products.
