Minerva expands US presence with authorization to export preparations

Days after Minerva Foods’ processed division was certified to supply the global group YUM! (KFC, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, and Wingstreet), the company received full clearance for the United States.
Minerva Fine Foods can now export cooked and frozen products.

The unit passed inspection by MAPA (the ministry of agriculture, livestock, and food supply) conducted under parameters required by the Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).
The factory in Barretos (SP) – the group’s main center, third-largest in Brazilian beef, and leader in exports in South America – combines different preparation, cooking, freezing, and packaging processes.
This plant joins five other fresh beef plants authorized to supply the Americans: Araguaína/TO, Janaúba/MG, Paranatinga/MT, Palmeiras de Goiás/GO, and Barretos (SP). It also exports canned meat to the US.
