Taiwanese company Evergreen has announced the purchase of 6,000 containers to meet increasing global demand.
In a statement, the company said the order would cost 1.11 billion Taiwanese dollars, equivalent to about 39.2 million US dollars.
The company acquired the containers from Guangdong Fuwa Equipment Manufacturing Co. of China through two subsidiaries of the Evergreen Group.
In February and March, the company had already added 18,000 and 39,500 containers, respectively, to its fleet.
