AmmPower announced that it has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Porto Central, located in the State of Espírito Santo, near the state border with Rio de Janeiro. The agreement is for the development of green ammonia production, storage, and distribution facility. Porto Central will be a new multifunctional industrial port complex. Currently under development, it will accommodate different types of terminals and industries that will serve strategic economic sectors such as oil and gas, power generation, offshore support, agriculture, mining, containers, general cargo, and industries.
AmmPower will employ its unique green ammonia technology to help with port power solutions, including the production of green ammonia fuel for use in shipping. Porto Central, through its liquid bulk terminal known as “Porto Central Energy Terminal”, will allow AmmPower to transport clean hydrogen and ammonia throughout the region, when necessary. Porto Central will also serve as an energy hub and will work with AmmPower to provide energy and power to the grid nationally as well as internationally.
