Itajaí and Navegantes Port Complex registers 23% growth in container handling

The Itajaí and Navegantes Port Complex recorded a 23% growth in YTD TEU during the month of September. The number registered corresponds to 151,720 TEU, which increased the YTD movement to 1,239,214 compared to the 1,011,239 TEU in the same period of the previous year.
Cargo tonnage grew 29%. 1,700,440 tons were handled, raising the YTD tonnage to 14,229,166 compared to 11,020,401 in 2020.
In all, the Port Complex registered 91 dockings during the month of September, 32 of which were in the leased area (APM Terminals), 2 at the Braskarne private-use terminal, 5 at TEPORTI, and 1 at the Poly Terminais private-use terminal. At the Portonave terminal, 51 vessel calls were registered, raising the YTD by 14% year-on-year.
