According to Ideal Consulting, exports of Brazilian wines and sparkling wines increased 30% in 2020, reaching 6.7 million bottles.
Data from the Brazilian Union of Vitiviniculture (Uvibra) confirm this evolution in the Brazilian wine market. The survey by Uvibra points to a growth of 29.85% for fine wines and 12.29% for sparkling wines.
This represents 4.4 million liters of fine wines and 771,000 liters of sparkling wines exported last year.
USA and China are the biggest importers of Brazilian wines and sparkling wines
These results demonstrate a 180% growth in the volume of exports of national wines and sparkling wines in the last seven years. The United States and China are the main consumers of Brazilian labels.
Also according to Ideal Consulting, these countries started to consume Brazilian red, white, and sparkling wines in the last five years.
The consumption of these two markets alone was responsible for boosting exports of these beverages by 325% over the past five years.
Brazilian sparkling wines are driving these exports. This variety already surpasses the labels of Portugal and Chile, traditional countries in wine production preferred by the North American market.
In addition to the United States and China, countries such as Japan, Singapore, Chile, and the United Kingdom have also shown themselves to be great appreciators of Brazilian wine.
