CODERN requests funds for Port of Natal maintenance

The deputy CEO of CODERN (the Rio Grande do Norte docks company), Ulisses Danilo Silva Almeida, participated in a meeting on Monday with the federal court of Rio Grande do Norte to request parliamentary amendments to Brazil’s LOA (annual budget law) in 2022 for Port of Natal maintenance. The meeting took place in the auditorium of FIERN (federation of industries of the state of Rio Grande do Norte).

With the leasing of the Areia Branca salt terminal, the company requested funds for the Port of Natal. Among the main claims are the acquisition, installation, and maintenance of a container scanner, since the equipment in operation is currently leased; expansion works of the Porto de Natal retro area; structural recovery of Berths 1 and 2 wharves; recovery of berthing fenders, and more, for a total of R$36 million in investments.
