
Paraguay exports 326,000 tons of beef in 2021

The National Service for Animal Health and Quality of Paraguay (Senacsa) announced that 2021 finished with a historic record of beef exports as the country shipped more than 326.7 thousand tons of the product across 47 destinations around the world.
In 2020, 271,000 tons of meat were exported and, in 2019, 247 thousand.
The report also details that 2,179,878 cattle units were slaughtered in 2021, with March registering the highest numbers: 230,196 units among steers, bulls, cows, and heifers.
The more than 326.7 thousand tons produced were exported to 47 markets, with Chile, Russia, Brazil, the Republic of China (Taiwan), Israel, and Uruguay ranking first through fifth in terms of purchasing.
