Agricultural machinery sales fall 15.9% in November compared to October

Sales of agricultural machines, including tractors and harvesters, totaled 5.2 thousand units in November, a drop of 15.9% compared to the total in October.
Fenabrave, a group that represents used equipment sellers in the field in addition to vehicle dealerships, announced the balance on Thursday, June 6.
Since farm machinery numbers do not originate from license plates, which are updated daily, the data is acquired with manufacturers. Therefore, the statistics have a one-month lag in relation to the balance of car sales, whose results released this Thursday by Fenabrave are for December.
Tractor and harvester sales increased by 24.8 percent in November 2020, bringing the total volume gain in the first eleven months of the year to 28.3 percent, totaling 52.7 thousand units.
Commenting on the results, the new president of Fenabrave, José Maurício Andreta Júnior, considered that the drop in sales of agricultural machinery in November is an adjustment to the “very high” level of previous months.
