Anec raises Brazil’s soybean export forecast for January
Jan, 12, 2022 Posted by Gabriel MalheirosWeek 202202
Brazil’s soybean exports may reach a total of 4.27 million tons in January as disclosed by the National Association of Cereal Exporters (Anec) on January 11th. In comparison to last week’s estimate, the revised forecast raises the number of expected shipments by over 1 million tons.
This would be a significant increase over the 53.6 thousand tons harvested in January of last year when Brazil’s stockpiles were low and the harvest was delayed.
Anec had previously raised its corn export projection to 2.6 million tons from 2.5 million last week. In January last year, the country exported 2.16 million tons.
