SCPAR Porto de Imbituba signed, on the 8th, the transitional lease agreement for the Mineral Bulk Terminal (TGM IMB06) at the Port of Imbituba with Consórcio Sul Minas, the winner of selective process nº 01/2021. The period in which the company will be allowed to operate in the area is 180 days or until the bidding process for a long-term lease is concluded.
The signature of the agreement was attended by the directors of the port and terminal’s new lessee, a consortium of the companies Minas Gusa and Sul Norte. The CEO of SCPAR and the Port Authority Council (CAP) president, Rita Munck, also participated in the ceremony.
TGM has 48 thousand m² and is located in “area 6.1.” The terminal consists of two canvas warehouses and a tire washer fed by a cistern. Gilberto Zanette, partner-owner of Sul Norte, explains that the intention is to increase the volume handled by the port in the minerals industry. The consortium will work with iron ore, coke, and bituminous coal loads.
