Infrastructure Ministry to study Antaq and ANTT merger

The Deputy Executive Secretary of Brazil’s Ministry of Infrastructure has confirmed that a working group will be created this week to study the possible merger of ANTT (the National Agency of Land Transport) and Antaq (the National Agency for Water Transport). Since taking office, the Minister of Infrastructure has committed to rearranging public institutions to strengthen and improve the independence of these agencies.
