May, 26, 2022 Posted by Gabriel MalheirosWeek 202221
To study solutions in clean and renewable energy, as well as decarbonization using the largest port in Brazil as a reference. This is the goal behind the cooperation agreement to exchange technical knowledge signed between Furnas Centrais Elétricas (also known as Eletrobras Furnas) and the Santos Port Authority.
More details will be defined in the next 30 days. The document binds the companies together in their commitment to conducting technical and scientific activities in the energy and infrastructure sectors that will allow them to complete projects with common goals.
The studies cover everything from energy exploration and application to blue economy solutions, which the World Bank defines as the “sustainable use of ocean resources for economic growth, improved livelihoods, and jobs while preserving the health of the ocean ecosystem.”
The agreement is for institutional cooperation only, with no resource transfers between the parties involved. Therefore, each party must bear the expenses for participating in activities, in addition to obtaining, organizing, and processing data and information as well as preparing studies, reports, and technical visits.
