Mário Povia is the new National Secretary of Ports and Waterway Transportation

Since the 24th, the National Secretariat of Ports of the Ministry of Infrastructure has been under new command. The former port management director at Companhia Docas do Rio de Janeiro (CDRJ) , Mário Povia is the new head of the secretariat, replacing Diogo Piloni. The alteration was duly informed in the Brazilian Federal Gazette.
Born in Osasco, Mário Povia has a degree in electrical operational technology from Mackenzie and a law degree from Unip. He holds a postgraduate degree in business administration and procedural and labor law from Mackenzie, as well as a postgrad degree in public services regulations from the Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV).
He worked as a regulation of waterway transport services specialist at Antaq. Also, at the agency, he acted as an advisor to the superintendence of ports, as a technical advisor to the board, as the superintendent of ports, and, finally, as the general director. He also served as president of the Port Authority Council (CAP) of the Port of São Sebastião. In 2020, he took up the position at Companhia Docas do Rio de Janeiro.
