
Brazil exports 81.622K tonnes of cotton in May

Cotton exports from Brazil totaled 81,622 thousand tonnes in the 21 working days of May, with a daily average of 3,71 thousand. Sales abroad totaled US$ 189.351 million, with an average of US$ 8.606 million. The average price is US$ 2,319.80 per tonne. The information is from Brazil’s Ministry of Industry, Foreign Trade, and Services.
The daily volume of cotton exported from Brazil decreased by 32.4% compared to the same period the previous year (5,487 thousand tonnes daily in May 2021). Daily revenue, on the other hand, fell by 10% ($9.565 million per day in May 2021).
