Itajaí and Navegantes May throughput over 1.3 million tonnes

The Itajaí and Navegantes Port Complex registered 126,306 TEUs in May, totaling 1,385,808 tonnes of cargo transported in containers.
During the month of May, the Port Complex recorded 78 berthings, 19 of which were carried out at APM Terminals (right bank/leased area), five at TEPORTI and three at Commercial Pier, one at Poly Terminals, and two at Terminal Barra do Rio.
At the PORTONAVE Terminal (Navegantes Port Terminal), the vessel activity recorded during May involved 48 stopovers, with 96,934 TEUs and 1,050,671 tonnes in terms of transported containerized cargo.
At the Port of Itajaí (public berths and APM Terminals/leased area), 29,372 TEUs were handled with 335,137 tonnes.

From January to May this year, the Port of Itajaí received its third ship delivering cellulose supplies in its public area. The next vessel carrying this type of cargo is anticipated to arrive in the coming days.
Also in May, the Itajaí and Navegantes Port Complex reached the mark of 900 turns in the New Maneuvering Basin area. The 900th maneuver was recorded with a Panama-flagged ship,285 meters long and 40 meters wide, that unmoored at the Portonave terminal (berth 03).
