On Tuesday, June 28, the National Association of Cereal Exporters (Anec) reduced, compared to last week’s estimate, its projections for shipments of soybeans, corn, and soybean meal from Brazil in June.
Brazil’s soybean exports were estimated at 10.154 million tonnes vis-a-vis 10.795 million in the previous week. If true, the volume shipped in May 2022 will show almost no variation from last year.
See below how soybean shipments behaved in the first four months of the years 2019 to 2022. These data are from Datamar’s DataLiner platform.

In the case of soybean meal exports, the projection was revised to 2.2 million tonnes, compared to 2.27 million in the previous week. Even so, if the forecast is confirmed, the volume shipped will grow by 370 thousand tonnes compared to June 2021.
Anec sees corn exports reaching 1.683 million tonnes in June, up from 1.758 million a week ago. Brazil practically did not export corn in the same month last year, with shipments totaling around 90 thousand tonnes, according to Anec.
