Mercy for Animals (MFA) revealed that a petition started in 2019 to ban Brazilian live cattle exports has already received over 550,000 signatures. The goal is to achieve one million by the end of this year.
The end of the activity is one of the priorities in Brazil of the MFA, which defends good animal welfare practices. Live cattle exports are destined for countries like Turkey, Iraq, Lebanon, and Egypt, reaching around US$ 500 million a year.
