Suzano announced on September 01 that it is shutting down for about 45 days its production line A in Aracruz for “repairs in the recovery boiler.”
The intervention is part of a measure package announced by the company at the end of 2019, involving factory adjustments to replace parts of the recovery boiler and install crystallization systems.
In a statement, Suzano said that the shutdown would not affect customer service or its commercial strategy.
The total investment in the project is roughly 298 million reais, with 188 million already invested as of July.
