Itajaí and Navegantes complex achieve 3% FCL cargo throughput growth

The Itajaí and Navegantes Port Complex saw a volume throughput of 1,589,556 tonnes in August and 85 vessel calls, raising the year-to-date throughput of 11,457,703 tonnes with 646 calls.
In Full Cargo Load (FLC) containers, operations grew by 3% compared to the same period of the previous year, totaling 1,470,384 against 1,420,702 tonnes.
Approximately 36,283 TEUs passed through the complex’s public pier and APMT facility over August, corresponding to a volume of 378,395 tonnes, bringing the annual throughput to 245,281 TEUs with 2,939,275 tonnes.

As for the other private terminals, PORTONAVE (Port Terminal de Navegantes) recorded 53 berths and a throughput of 1,132,786 tonnes and 80,830 TEUs in August. In addition, there were four other vessel calls at the BRASKARNE terminal, bringing the volume handled there to 21,238 tonnes.
Three calls were recorded at the Barra do Rio Terminal, totaling 11,949 tonnes. Finally, TEPORTI had one call with 8,467 tonnes and Poly Terminals, another one bringing 5,000 tonnes.
The 6th berthing of a vessel chartered for pulp export also occurred in August, transporting 14,694 tonnes. The operation was carried out at the Chinese-flagged ship COSCO SHIPPING ZHOU YUE, measuring 201 meters long by 32.26 meters wide.
The 6th berthing with a Roll-on-Roll-Off ship, which involved 465 vehicles imported from the German automaker BMW and weighed 832.8 tons, also happened in the same month. The ship, which was 199.97 meters long and 32.26 meters wide, was sailing in the direction of Porto Delta Dock-Lima in Argentina.
