This year, Kuehne+Nagel completes 132 years of its foundation and celebrates 60 years of operations in Brazil, with activities branching into maritime and air transport and expressive growth in the area of contract logistics and warehouse management due to the development of e-commerce.
In recent years, the company has strengthened and consolidated its operations in the healthcare sector (pharmaceuticals and medical devices). “In 2020, for example, we transported 41 charters for the movement of medicines and vaccines. We provided an assertive service and will continue to support our customers in their present and future challenges,” highlights Adriana Martins, Kuehne’s CEO +Nagel in Brazil.
Another important area is agribusiness, with growth in the transport of perishable products (mainly fruits), in addition to agricultural machinery. To this end, Kuehne+Nagel plans to expand to other regions of the country to be closer to customers.
Changes in the behavior of Brazilian consumers in the post-pandemic period boosted the growth of e-commerce. In this scenario, the company significantly increased its operations in contract logistics (distribution and warehouse management). Adriana Martins explains: “We are proud to be part of the e-commerce supply chain. Most of the more than 2,500 employees in Brazil work in operations connected to the e-commerce sector,” offered her.
