Corn exports from Brazil grow 127% in early November, says Secex
Nov, 16, 2022 Posted by Gabriel MalheirosWeek 202246
Corn exports from Brazil increased by 127% by the second week of November compared to the daily average recorded in the same month of 2021 to 286,000 tonnes, informed the country’s Foreign Trade Secretariat (Secex) on November 14.
This increase allowed shipments to catch up to the total registered in November of last year (2.39 million tonnes), a period with weaker exports due to a crop failure.
In stark contrast, the country had a record harvest in 2022 and exported 2.29 million tonnes from January to the second week of November.
See below the record of the volume of corn exports (hs code 1005) from Brazil between January 2019 and September 2022. The data is from DataLiner.

Among agricultural commodities, shipments of cotton and coffee also registered growth, while soybeans fell by around 7% on the daily average.
Beef saw twice as many shipments by the daily average.
