Brazil’s Federal Revenue Service seized 52 kilos of cocaine at the Port of Paranaguá, on the coast of Paraná, on the morning of the 16th.
According to the fiscal body, the drug was hidden in the engine of a reefer container from Belgium and was found during an x-ray inspection.
According to the Federal Revenue, the drug was placed there before departing to Europe on a previous trip. However, the criminals’ partners on European territory probably missed removing it, and the narcotics returned to Brazil, where it was located.
The drug was weighed and sent by helicopter to the headquarters of the Federal Police Superintendence in Curitiba, according to the institution.
According to the federal authorities, this is the agency’s 13th drug seizure in the Port of Paranaguá in 2022.
