Brazil’s trade surplus reaches USD 197.8 mln in the 4th week of December

The Brazilian trade balance registered a trade surplus of US$ 197.8 million in the fourth week of December 2022.
According to data released on Monday, December 26, by the Brazilian Foreign Trade Secretariat (Secex), the value is the result of US$ 5.502 billion gained in exports and US$ 5.304 billion spent on imports.
In December alone, the surplus was USD 2.285 billion. YTD, it stood at USD 59.816 billion.
The daily average of exports increased by 12.3% in the first four weeks of December, with an increase of 31.4% in agriculture, 5.2% in manufacturing, and 17.4% in products from the extractive industry.
On the other hand, the daily average of imports increased by 19.3%, with agriculture rising by 6.6%, extractive industry increasing by 46.1%, and manufacturing products increasing by 18.8%.
