China bought more beef and paid less in january; refrigerators lost us$ 1.4 thousand/t

Before entering the holiday on the 22nd, China bought much more beef in January than in the same month of 2022, and paid much less.
The pressure to renegotiate values, since the majority of the last semester, impacted general Brazilian revenues.
The main destination for Brazilian beef protein paid US$ 6,200 a ton on January 22 and dropped to US$ 4,800 last month.

As a result, overall export sales grew by just 7%, against volumes 17% above, at US$ 851.2 million and 183.8 thousand tons of fresh and processed product.
Chinese importers accounted for 57% (100.1 thousand/t) of total revenues last month. In the previous January, the representativeness was 41.3% (53.1 thousand/t).
