
Port of Itajaí receives ship with more than 22 thousand tons of pulp

The Port of Itajaí received a ship with 22,750 tons of pulp. The docking took place at dawn this Monday (13), in the leased area of APM Terminals. This is the second shipment of pulp arriving in Itajaí in 2023.
The ship Saga Crest, flying the Hong Kong flag, is responsible for the operation. Measuring 199.2 meters long and 30.5 meters wide, the vessel came from Rio Grande (RS) and, after leaving Itajaí, it will head to Aracruz (ES).
Since the first pulp docking in 2022, almost 170,000 tons of this type of cargo have been handled at the Port of Itajaí in 11 stopovers. This second operation is carried out by SC Portos.
In addition to the pulp cargo, the ship also carried out the operation with plywood cargo. In all, 1,190 tons were moved.
