
Brazil coffee exports reach 1.62 million bags in May

Brazilian coffee bean exports totaled 1,619,067 bags weighing 60 kilograms in May 2023. This was determined over 14 working days, yielding a daily average of 115,648 bags. These exports earned US$ 370.006 million in revenue, with a daily average of US$ 26.429 million. The average price per bag was USD 228.53.

Comparing the daily average revenue of coffee bean exports in May 2023 to that of May 2022, there was a slight decrease of 0.7%. In May 2022, the daily average revenue was US$ 26.611 million. However, the daily volume of shipments in May 2023 showed positive growth of 7.2% compared to May 2022, which had an average daily record of 107,930 bags. On the other hand, the average price experienced a decline of 7.3%. These statistics were provided by the Foreign Trade Secretariat (Secex).
