On June 21, port authority Portos do Paraná published a notice for public auction 002/2022 to lease an area in the Port of Paranaguá. The designated area, PAR09, is intended for handling and storing solid vegetable bulk. It is situated at the western end of the port and spans 26,576 square meters.
According to the published notice, the announcement and accompanying technical and legal documents have been available since Friday (23). The auction is scheduled for a public session on August 11 at the Brazilian Stock Exchange B3 in São Paulo. This will be the second auction held this year.
Luiz Fernando Garcia, the CEO of Portos do Paraná, stated, “This will be the fourth area to be auctioned during our tenure at Portos do Paraná. The highest grant amount will be the primary criterion for the bidding process, and the estimated investment for the area is approximately R$ 910 million.”
The requirements and other conditions for participation are outlined in the public notice for the auction, which will be available on the websites of Portos do Paraná, the Ministry of Ports and Airports, and the National Waterway Transport Agency (Antaq). Documentation can also be obtained at the administrative headquarters of Portos do Paraná, located at Avenida Ayrton Senna da Silva, 161, in the Dom Pedro II district of Paranaguá.
The bidding procedures for this and other leasing projects are carried out by Portos do Paraná through its Port Area Bidding Commission (CLAP). Portos do Paraná has been granted authority to do so by the Union in August 2019, following the signing of an agreement.
