The Port Authority of Santos (APS), the Municipalities of Cubatão, Guarujá, Santos and São Vicente, and institutions of the port complex of Santos signed the “Manifesto to the ESG values of the Port of Santos”. The document was signed on August 1st, on the 1st day of the 2nd ESG Conference at the Port of Santos.
In addition to the signing of the document, the II ESG Journey of the Port of Santos brought several debates on the subject in relation to the port community. The implementation of the ESG culture is an integral part of APS’ corporate strategy: “Everything we organize must serve one main purpose, which is people”, said APS president, Anderson Pomini, at the opening of the event.
The II Porto de Santos ESG Journey took place in a hybrid way, with the first day in face-to-face debates and the others only via the internet. The opening took place in an event space in Santos, when the region’s City Halls, entities and companies signed the manifesto.
Urgent themes of the contemporary world were discussed, such as climate change, female leadership, transparency of public-private relations, among others. The II Journey ESG of the Port of Santos was defined as a pioneering movement towards the construction of a more sustainable Port for the community.
