The Federal Government of Brazil, in collaboration with the Ministry of Ports and Airports and the National Waterway Transportation Agency (ANTAQ), is set to auction off five port areas this Friday (11th) at 2 pm. These sites are located in the states of Rio Grande do Sul (POA01), Alagoas (MAC11A, MAC11, MAC12), and Ceará (TMP).
The three terminals in Alagoas and Rio Grande do Sul are primarily designed to focus on the movement and storage of solid bulk commodities and liquid bulk materials, particularly fuel and oil.
The Fortaleza-based terminal, known as the Terminal Marítimo de Passageiros (TMP) and located within the Organized Port of Mucuripe, is designated for passenger movement and entertainment activities.
These auctions are designed to identify the most profitable proposal based on the highest grant value. The chosen proposal will lead to the signing of a lease agreement for public areas and infrastructure within the organized public ports.
Overall, these areas are projected to gather investments of over R$ 124.8 million.
Notable attendees will include Fabrizio Pierdomenico, the National Secretary of Ports and Waterway Transport, along with Eduardo Nery, the general director of ANTAQ, and other directors like Flávia Takafashi, Lima Filho, and Caio Farias. Several congresspeople, federations, associations, and other authorities from the sector have also confirmed their participation.
