Brazilian exports of past, biscuits see 12% surge in revenue

The biscuits, pasta, bread, and industrialized cakes industry in Brazil registered exports of US$ 82.4 million in the first half of this year, as reported by the Abimapi market association. This figure marks a 12.2% increase compared to the revenue generated in the same period last year.
In terms of volume, foreign sales amounted to 45.5 thousand tonnes, representing a decrease of 11.5%.
The top buyers of Brazilian products during this period were the USA, Colombia, and Panama, all of which were targeted through initiatives by the organization in collaboration with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil). Other noteworthy importers included Portugal, Cuba, Mozambique, Bolivia, Spain, Malaysia, Panama, and Morocco.
