Brazil beef exports keep up good pace in September/23
Sep, 14, 2023 Posted by Gabriel MalheirosWeek 202338
Until the second week of September, the daily average of fresh beef exported by Brazil reached 14,970 tons, marking a 54.9% increase compared to September 2022’s daily average, as reported by Scot Consultoria. This data is based on information released on Tuesday (September 12th) by the Secretariat of Foreign Trade (Secex).
In the same comparative context, the price paid per ton of beef stood at $4,480, reflecting a 25.2% depreciation.
However, despite the lower price per ton, the daily average revenue, in dollars, increased by 15.8% when compared to the same period last year, reaching $67.18 million. Scot attributes this growth to the “significant increase in daily shipped volume.”
